This course introduces the Johari Window—a powerful psychological model that helps learners understand themselves and others in the context of communication. Aimed at new graduates, employees, and workers, the course teaches how the Johari Window can improve interpersonal relationships, self-awareness, and team dynamics.

In many workplace situations, misunderstandings arise not just from what is said, but from blind spots and unknown areas in how we perceive ourselves and how others perceive us. The Johari Window model is widely used in professional development to enhance communication, build trust, and strengthen collaboration. By making the “unknown” known, individuals can become more open, authentic, and effective communicators.

During this lesson, you will learn:

  • Explore the four panes of the Johari Window: open, hidden, blind, and unknown
  • Understand how feedback and self-disclosure can expand self-awareness
  • Learn how to apply the model to workplace relationships and team communication
  • Practice using the model to reduce misunderstandings and foster trust in professional settings

After learning this course, you will be able to:

  • Explain the structure and meaning of the Johari Window
  • Identify the roles of feedback and self-disclosure in communication
  • Use the Johari Window to reflect on personal and professional relationships
  • Apply the model to improve communication, teamwork, and mutual understanding in the workplace
  • Foster trust and openness with colleagues through mindful communication techniques
